INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY
This year already for the third time the whole world will celebrate the International Day of Yoga on the 21st of June as introduced by the United Nations decision in 2015. Ukrainians being well-acquainted with the yoga tradition, actively supported the festival that was celebrated with a huge success last year. This June even more grandiose thematic events will be organized in Kiev so all the citizens and guests of the capital will be able to enjoy numerous yoga classes, Indian dances and music, and just relax, feel the harmony inside, and even “find Zen” just in the center of the capital!
Be a part of this outstanding Event which is planned to be included in the “Record Book of Ukraine” for getting 10,000 people doing Yoga together in Khreshchatyk Str.

The Trinity Day celebrates the Christian belief of Holy Spirit’s descent on the apostles. In 2017 it falls on the 4th of June, so from 3rd till 5th of June you are invited to different celebrations traditionally organized in Kiev. Customarily, Open-Air Museum of National Architecture “Pyrogovo” hosts the colorful folk festivals these days. There is also a celebration in Pechersk Landscape Park where you may watch the performances of folk groups, become acquainted with national rituals, and even sing spring songs (“vesnyanka”). Moreover, some thematic events will be conducted on Postal Square. Just explore these locations and you will easily feel the spirit of the holiday in Kiev.

Ethnographic Complex “Ukrainian Village” invites you to visit the annual blacksmith festival. The masters from all over Ukraine will come here to demonstrate their skills, talents and show that traditional blacksmithing is alive!

Jack Russell Kyiv 2017

Jack Russell Kyiv 2017 is a parade on streets of Kiev that is aimed to cultivate love to animals.
The participants will gather near Ukrainian House at 10:00 and then go to Independence Square, Central Department Store (TsUM) and come back to Independence Square. In front of the procession, there will be the flags with drawings of Jack Russell Terriers while all the parade will be accompanied by the songs from the movie “Mask”. You will also watch Rio dances, tricks with dogs, and enjoy the atmosphere.

“Za dvoma zaytsyamy” is a ballet in 2 acts by Yuriy Shevchenko to a libretto by Tetyana Andreyeva based upon the comedy play of Ukrainian dramatist Mykhailo Starytsky. It tells about Svyryd Holokhvostyy who is trying to get rich by marrying a rich Pronya Sirko and at the same time makes love to the poor and beautiful Halya. By the way, you may find the monument to the main characters of this play at 14 Desyatynna Str. near St Andrew’s Church in Kiev.
