Language Tips

In theory, all emergency services in Kiev should understand English but in fact, it happens very seldom. That’s why in order to call emergency or other phone numbers in Ukraine it is preferable to have some knowledge of Russian/Ukrainian. We recommend to learn a few key words and phrases ahead of any visit:

Ukrainian Phone Number consists of 12 digits:

3 digits: 380 – Country Code for Ukraine
2 digits: Either the code of mobile operator (for cell phone XX) or the city code (for landline phone, the city code for Kiev is 44)
7 digits of unique no. combination
